Launch a token

The form, the icon, and what it costs.

Steps

  1. Pick a star from the list, or paste any wallet address.
  2. Name the token (up to 40 characters) and give it a ticker (2 to 11 characters, A–Z and 0–9).
  3. Optionally add a one-line description and an icon.
  4. Press Launch and confirm in the wallet.

The icon

Upload any image: the site shrinks it in your browser to a 128 px WebP of a few KB and sends it with the launch. It travels in the launch event, not in contract storage, which is why it costs cents rather than dollars, and it is capped at 24 KB. An https URL works too. Without an icon, the star's own picture is used.

The launch buys nothing

launch takes the creation fee and nothing more: anything sent above it is returned in the same transaction, and the call does not swap. You end the transaction holding none of the token — the whole supply is in the pool. If you want a position, buy it out of the pool afterwards, at the price the pool is at, like anyone else. There is no allocation and no reserved tranche to take instead.

Cost

The creation fee, currently 0.0004 ETH, plus gas. Nothing else: the position is token-only, so there is no liquidity to fund, and any ETH beyond the fee comes back. The owner can set the fee as high as 0.05 ETH and no higher. The wallet shows the exact gas before you sign.

The creation fee is split the way trading fees are: it runs through the same accrual, so half reaches the star and half the treasury at the current setting, claimable by each of them. See Fees and earnings.

Why it is cheap

Each token is a minimal clone of one ERC20 implementation rather than a fresh deployment, and the description and icon are emitted, not stored.

After launch

You control nothing. There is no pause, no way to change the star, no mint, and no call that touches the pool or the position. You earn nothing as creator: the fee split runs to the star and the treasury, and the launch leaves you with no tokens. What you get is the token page.
